We look forward to staying at the Inn on Lake Superior every fall. It's walking distance to plenty of places to eat and drink, and an easy walk to Bentlyville. They offer a shuttle if you don't feel like walking to see the lights.
We paid a premium price for our 1 night stay here this summer. I've stayed at 2 other hotels on Canal Park in the last 2 years at very similar prices and this hotel was not quite as well kept as the other 2. The staff was friendly and service was great. The room seemed clean, but the bed pillow and bathrooms very dingy and the carpeting throughout the whole hotel was very dirty and gross looking. the pool area and some other areas also seemed outdated and not well kept up. Could have been a great stay, but for $300 for 1 night I expecting to feel like I was staying in a bit more upscale hotel than a Super 8. Next time I will be going to one of the competitors next door.
We spent a fall weekend here and it was a surprisingly perfect accommodation. We booked through a third party and it lost our reservation; however when we got there, the friendly staff was able to get us the same room at a better rate! The rooms were clean and the lakeside view was totally worth the extra money :) they offered continental breakfast the next morning which was SO bomb, not just a dinky toast and coffee offering. They even do free smores & a bonfire in the evening. It's right in the middle of Canal Park so everything was within walking distance. The picture is of our view from the room.
This place seems really nice even on a thick winter week. I've heard birds outside on the lake. My room has a door right out to the lake. The lotions and linens are really nice. The breakfast was awesome.
The free breakfast is a wonderful treat and the staff is always friendly! Great warm outdoor pool on the roof too. Awesome on a cool night while it's snows.
Nice place. Great customer service. Decent breakfast, too. Definitely staying here again. Can't beat the view of the lake, either.
