Great location. It is right inside Duluth downtown.close to the North shore scenic drive entrance. Room was very nice with great view of the outside. Staff was friendly.
Evening front desk with glasses is rude and snappy. Has no clue how to deal with people. And the daytime workers boyfriend hangs around all day. Cleaners are very friendly and helpful though.
Worst customer service I’ve ever experienced. We called ahead requesting an early check in and were told it wouldn’t be a problem. Upon arrival, we were told no rooms were clean and we’d have to wait until the 2pm check in time. We explained that we had called ahead and were told that a room would be ready and that a 2pm check in would not work as we were in town for a wedding. The receptionist was zero help, unwilling to assist, simply indicating that we should not have been told the early check in would be okay and that she would not rush her housekeepers because “I want them to work at their own pace.” The only saving grace is that they agreed to honor the cancellation policy of not charging us as we cancelled and found a more accommodating hotel. We are keeping an eye on our credit card bill and will absolutely follow up should a charge appear.
This was a wonderful, basic hotel. Nothing fancy, but what it had was great. Soft bed, hot shower with great water pressure. Good basic breakfast. Hdtv (it's dumb but most basic hotels don't have this). Everything was clean and the heat worked wonders. Great basic hotel all in all
Was a good visit overall. Friendly staff, reasonable prices, within walking distance to canal, bars, and restaurants. Typical motel amenities such as towels, shampoo, and soap. Room was clean. Non-smoking facility. Free WiFi. Complementary breakfast. Only issue is the parking lot is small and on a slope. There was snow/ice on the ground which made it nearly impossible to actually drive up the incline with a front wheel drive car.
