Very nice hotel! The room is very large and beautiful. The staff has all been very friendly and always busy taking care of the place. And pet friendly! No extra charge for the dog!
This is our first stay at a La Quinta and we really enjoyed our stay. The Duluth location was very modern/contemporary. Our favorite parts of our stay was the hot tub (super relaxing after an 11 hour drive) and the amazing complimentary breakfast - so delish! The rooms were very comfortable and clean. At the time of our stay, the hotel was booked - we wouldn’t have even known other than the full parking lot as it was very quiet. From now on we will consider La Quinta in future trips!
We stayed here because my company gets a corporate discount at La Quinta. It was my first time staying at a La Quinta and using the discount. This particular one is fairly new and is modern looking in all aspects - carpet, wallpaper, photos, decor, etc. Everything looked clean. The workout room is very nice - it is larger than some I have seen in hotels and included a good amount of equipment, including medicine balls and free weights, which I was happy about. The hot tub, though, is TINY - it only holds six people and one side doesn't even have a bench. That was disappointing. The breakfast offered had good food choices, (particularly enjoyed the maple cinnamon flavored waffles), however, the area where the food is has a galley-style layout and it feels cramped. There isn't much room to try and move through the breakfast line when there are bunch of families trying to navigate around. There is ample seating, though, and that part was pretty open. This hotel is also dog friendly. I love dogs, so this didn't bother me at all. I saw tons of people with all sorts of different sized dogs, and none of them were loud or out of control or anything. If I wouldn't have seen them, I would have never known dogs were in the hotel. Overall, this is a nice hotel, located close to shopping and restaurants and an easy exit off the main drag.
Very new, clean rooms and doesn’t cost as much as other hotels in Duluth. Fairly short drive to Canal Park and downtown Duluth. Nearby to the mall. Tasty breakfast, too. Highly recommended.
