We just ate here for the first time and loved it!! The food was amazing, I had the fresh salmon and my husband had the New York strip. Chips and dip for appetizer was awesome too! Our waiter was ok, could’ve been better but over all was very happy! Will be back.
I had lunch at the Boat Club with my wife. The atmosphere was pleasant, and our server was very kind. The view of Lake Superior is lovely. However, I was not at all impressed by our food. My wife ordered the triple berry salad with grilled chicken. It was okay... the chicken came out a little dry and overcooked. The real crime was the $16 lobster roll. Never have I been so personally offended by a sandwich. The "lobster salad" more closely resembled imitation crab than actual lobster. It tasted like the inside of a bad California Roll. If you decide to eat here, I'd recommend steering clear of that menu item.
Terrible service. Sign said wait to be seated and no one came so we sat down. Took server 10 min to get an ice tea. Food arrived 45 min later while others after us who were seated ate. The server had an excuse for everything. I noticed another server place a check on her table and the guests were saying wait we want dessert. Seriously isn't it staffs job to sell the product and serve. No manager around to ask how things were just a ghostly experience. Food was ok but not fine dining. I predict this restaurant will be out of business in a year if they dont revamp their game.
Tami and the boat club crew took great care of our holiday event on December 16. The service and food was 5 star. Nathan and Monica continue to make our evening Wonderful. Thank you for a great evening memory!! Jill and Jeffrey Hmi
My boyfriend and I decided to try this restaurant. We were going to eat at the Brewhouse since we had dined there before and their food is great. The view at the Boat Club was spectacular and the ambience was lovely and peaceful. I have to say, however, that I was extremely disappointed in the food. First, the romaine lettuce in my Cesar salad was not fresh and crisp and no fresh pepper was offered by our waitress. Secondly, my Ahi tuna tacos lacked any flavor. I had to reach over and shake the old bay seasoning can a few times over the tacos. Lastly, the service was slow. I don't think that we will be dining here again. Too bad, since they have a great view!
