Awesome food, wonderful atmosphere, service was excellent. We arrived at 6:30 in early October - perfect for seeing the sunset and enjoying our perfectly paced meal. Our server was excellent and comped us a geat little dessert when we told her we were on our honeymoon. Hubby had steak - no complaints and he is a steak lover. I had the salmon and I would order it again. We lingered until 9 or so as it was fabulous to see Duluth "in the round."

Although the view is amazing and something that should be experienced, the food and service are nothing short of terrible. Server took a long time to come back around even though the restaurant was pretty empty for the time we went. Was given a kids menu with activities however no markers or crayons to color with. After asking and told we would be given some, not once during our service were given anything for our daughter to color with. Hair was in our food which got sent back; however no manager ever responded or got an apology for. One of the two pancakes was completely burnt on bottom and the other was perfectly fine. Looking and the floor it looked like it hadn't been cleaned our vacuumed in months, crumbs were everywhere and the glass windows seemed smeared. To top it off, the small drinks (orange juice and chocolate milk) are charged as large drinks. Unless you came up just for the bar area or the view, I would not recommend this place for eating at.

This was my second and my family's first visit. I thought it would be a great experience for them. We were a group of 7, arriving mostly separately. Unfortunately, the is no waiting/seating area except for the bar, which has high bar stools and are not accessible for some of my family members. It is a smaller menu selection than I anticipated. They did allow for substitutions, which was nice. However, a few things bothered me. First, the amount of food was not in line with the pricing (very small portions). This could have been acceptable if the quality of the food hadn't been mediocre at best. The asparagus was undercooked (very crunchy). The walleye was very greasy, though it was supposed to be broiled. The meatloaf was salty. Even the garlic mashed potatoes were disappointing. Finally, there was a sense of 'trickery' when ordering. Most restaurant entrees include soup or salad. When we ordered, the waitress said, "would you like the soup or salad?" Anyone would of course assume this means it comes with the meal. This did not become evident until the bill arrived (at $8 and $12 each, in addition to the costs of the entrees, which were about $30 or so each). We were comp'd 2 desserts in celebration of an anniversary and a birthday, and they were actually tasty. However, that appreciation faded upon receiving the bill (with the unexpected costs of the salads and soups). We went for the experience, and the views were nice, but the "ride" is not smooth. It gets loud, and at times it feels like someone is kicking you underneath your chair, and it is annoying! I won't be back, and no longer recommend this 'experience'.

The New York steak was the size of a small pork chop. The steak skewers were 3 bites of steak - we all left Hungary. A Caesar salad was three leaves of romaine a sprinkle of cheese for $8.00. For all of our dining out I don't think we have ever experienced this.

A group of us (25) dined there last night. It was very disappointing the prices and portions were ridiculous. I would have enjoyed a kids meal burger rather than the dinners we experienced.

I came all the way from the twin cities to come visit this unique restaurant. There's not many rotating restaurants left in MN. I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the food was outstanding. Our server JJ was very attentive and the drinks were made very well. I would recommend coming here if you want to impress at date or want to have a great view of the city.
