Favorite Minnesota getaway. Feels like Florida ocean until you touch the water.
The beach is great and the beach house is OK but who decided to close it at 4:00 on weekends? Seriously, there was a beach full of people and it was in the 80's on a Saturday and they lock the beach house up at 4:00. I guess if you need the bathroom they figure you will use the bushes along the beach. Dumb!
Water was too cold for most to swim. I went there on labor day assuming water would b warmer this late into summer but NO it was too cold for my kids and hubby. But i like cold water on a hot day so i swam a little. But beach is pretty with nice sand! Water was clear but had alot of feathers and gross looking particles in it. But still a nice place to go see
The beach was clean. Wind was blowing fast and it was cold. Spent about an hour here. Sunset was awesome.
Simple beach house with a small concessions and rest rooms. Has outdoor showers to rinse off
