Comfy ride and a nice view. Staff were super nice and friendly. Seats are adjustable so you can flip to the same direction (facing foward) as the train is moving or have to bench face each other.
Loved the vintage passenger rail cars. It was fun to watch the engine switch from front to back for the return trip.
Nice scenic tour. The guide today, Vickie, was very informative and knew her history. They had a petition going around for the city to put the railroad back down after the EPA takes it up for cleaning. Apparently there were many factories over the years that disposed of their waste along the railroad into a pond, now the EPA has to clean it up and are not planning on laying the tracks back down afterwards... so if you take this tour, sign the petition. All of the people running these tours are volunteers and we're really friendly.
So lovely! The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. It was a great way to spend a Sunday afternoon with my love. Family friendly as well. We had a wonderful time.
