Amazing mansion to check out. You gotta at least do the full mansion tour. Lots of information and lots of things to see. The guides are college students and the one we had was very knowledgeable.
I'm not much for Manson tours. Liked this one. College students in most rooms providing information and answering question. Very helpful. Outside the building many booth selling crafts. Not too crazy about that unless the proceeds went to the students or college.
It would be good to note that ticket sales open early so if you want to get an early tour, buy online or get there early! That being said, 3/4 of the staff is made of college students who are helpful and informative. They rotate positions so they are knowledgeable in all areas. Wear comfy shoes as there is plenty of walking. Great sites to see. I would come back, but I would choose a different tour so I could see more. I would also like them to post info on what they do with all the garden food.
This place is so rich in history and beautiful. The tour was informative and the staff was friendly. We went in the fall so the colors and smell of fresh fallen leaves
Very interesting. The tour is highly recommended and the staff knows absolutely everything about the history of the house and the Glensheen family. This site is built into the fabric and history of Duluth and the surrounding area. You can't hear about Duluth without hearing about Glensheen mansion. The view of Lake Superior and the surrounding area is magnificent.
