If they weren't even able to do an overall ok job and this meal, I won't be coming back to try items off of their nomal menu.

Went here for eat downtown Duluth week event. It was completely dead. Only 1 other couple was sat while we were eating, which they put at the table right next to us in a completely empty restaurant.
Located inside the Sheraton, the 301 has a friendly atmosphere, helpful and pleasant staff. I especially loved the Bison Meatloaf and the Flourless Chocolate Cake. I also recommend that you try the Lake Superior Omelet with wild rice and smoked lake trout.
My wife and I enjoy Restaurant 301 immensely, it is our go-to place to eat on our date nights. The food has always been excellent, and the service has always been prompt and pleasant. We encourage our friends, family, and always refer it to people who are looking for a good place to eat. It can be a little more expensive; but, it is definitely worth the price.
Had some gift cards for 301...worst customer service I've ever had in Duluth! We were the only ones in the restaurant and it still took a very long time...I finally went up and asked the waitress who was chatting with other employees if we could have our soup and salad before the meal...We ordered a turkey and a chicken type sandwich to share...we asked for a few things on the side, one of which was some weird chili jelly...when they arrived one of them was pink...I'm sorry, but I won't eat pink chicken or turkey...the other one had the chili jelly on it! I asked the waitress where the stuff was that was supposed to be on the side and she had no idea...when we let her know one was raw and one had the thing that should have been on the side on the sandwich, she didn't really seem to care...just said
To be honest, Restaurant 301 is to whom we compare most other restaurants to when we dine out.
Located off the Sheraton Hotel, it is a missed opportunity for many in the Northland I think.
I understand that the menu items that they have during this week aren't their normal items, but none of them were good. The "sushi" had hard rice and no flavor, this was the worst sushi I have ever had. For the entree I had the risotto and sausage. The risotto was terrible, but the sausage was ok. The desert was a chocolate mousse and it was so so.
