I absolutely looovvvedd this place. It def gives you that real camping feel as you are... Well really camping. I do wish that they would make you check out when your done camping however, so that if anything detrimental happened you would have a higher chance of being found. Not every team has a back up family to check in on if you made it home saftely. Other then the storm that nearly capsized us and left us stranded, it was a wonderful place met with a gorgeous adventure. I def will be returning in the future!
Amazing place. From challenging Gun flint trail to serene pebble beach, this entire north and north west Minnesota is a rest and recharge spot. You can take a month long vacation here and still have trails left to walk and place left to see. Water , hills, forest are all enveloped in mother earth's amazing landscape. Fall colors, spring bloom and fantastic summers here help us recharge. Cabins, camps, lodging and local small diners dot the entire national forest.
Very large park area. Lots of hiking trails snow mobile trails. Nature is just beautiful no matter what time of the year you go.
Best damn camping I've ever done. Stars were beautiful and I was in complete silence. Very different from the city. Great getaway all n all
Beautiful day for a hike. -2 but in the woods no wind. Fantastic views of surrounding mountains. The North Shore at its finest!
