Amazing scenic overlook and tower high above Duluth. There is a beautiful park with many flowers to stroll around and enjoy. On the southeast side there is a large gazebo on the side of the hill that offers a great look at the Twin Ports. Anyone not suffering from acrophobia can climb up the stone tower and be treated to an even better view. A must see for visitors and locals alike.
The views are great from this place, but don't let fog stop you from visiting either. In my first visit the fog was so thick you couldn't see the tower until you walked right up to it, and the entire park had a magical feel to it. The Japanese garden felt peaceful and isolated from the world around it and the tower seemed to rise from the mist of a fairy tale. Enger is wonderful place to visit and see the city pretty much any time.
If you want to see breathtaking views of Duluth Enger tower is where to go. The view is definitely worth the climb.
Amazing place to stop and have a picnic, walk through the garden, or just climb the tower.
This was a beautiful little park with fantastic views of the city and Lake Superior. The fall colors are brilliant currently. There are places to picnic and even a couple of grills. The Japanese garden was a nice surprise.
