The wait times can be very long here simply due to the large number of patients that show up every day but the staff is excellent and works very hard to help in any way possible.
Essentia sucks. Their receptionists are RUDE and totally unhelpful. They screwed up my prescriptions so many times I ended up going through severe withdrawal from my meds and had a really miserable week at the pharmacy trying to sort everything out. They wanted me to wait over three months to see a specialist. Oh, and they are cutting their employees' wages and benefits and treating them like crap. I switched to St Lukes for everything and don't regret it for a second. I wouldn't go there if it was the last place on earth.
Not sure what 'Anonymous' is talking about, probably just one of those who likes to complain about everything. Urgent care just means you don't have time to wait potentially days for an appointment, doesn't mean you get helped in 5 minutes haha.. go to ER if it's that serious.
I too don't know what Anonymous is talking about. Urgent Care isn't the ER, it is to see a doctor on a first come first serve basis if you happen to have an issue and your primary doctor's office is closed. Even in the ER they triage people through according to their issue and you might have to wait in there. I have been in EHDC 3rd St. Urgent Care/Walk-in care many times and have had very good care. I did go to the Hermantown St. Lukes Urgent Care and had to wait 2 hours....but, that's just the way it is. They don't give care like a drive through eating place....if you were in such a hurry Anonymous, you maybe should have called an ambulance, they generally get in ER right away. We just have to wait your turn. That's also why they have triage nurses. They triage your issue and if you are not hurt or sick badly..you might just have to wait to be seen because someone else might be sicker or in worse shape than you.
Figured I'd write this review just so that one grumpy person's 1-star review didn't totally taint (ha) the whole place! I'll go here again if the situation comes up!
Great staff and the doctors are polite and fun.
