My retriever and I had a terrible experience here. Just came in for a simple exam and a few shots. My dog gets very nervous, and gets squirmy if you try to do anything to him. I told the vet (the owner, Dr. Marshak) this, and rather than try to calm him down like most vets do, or try a different approach, or let me assist him like I asked, he basically just manhandled my dog into the corner, very roughly grabbing his snout to give him the shot. Then he gave him a treat and left. The whole visit was less than 10 minutes. The exam wasn't even complete, but I sure had to pay for it. Terrible bedside manners. We won't be back. The front desk staff seemed nice, that's the best I can say of this place.
They even sent a sympathy card after Jack's passing.
I took my one year old cat in to get spayed. When I went to pick her up she was extremely frightened and was making noises I had never heard her make before. She was very scared. They wouldn't let me go in back to pick her up and instead shoved her into a huge dog kennel. She peed in the kennel because she was so scared. When we got home I noticed that half of her whiskers had been cut off!!! Never going here again. Horrible place. Every pet I saw go in here sensed its negativity. Don't bring your pet here!
I called to schedule an appt to bring my kitten in for a second set of shots. I talked to the receptionist at length about how old my kitten was in order to determine the best time for the shots (I told her she would be 12 weeks that Saturday) An appt was set. I took the afternoon off to bring my kitten to the appt. When I got to the clinic the receptionist said my kitten was 2 days too young for the booster shot. I asked for my kittens record of the first visit (as I was not happy and planned to take her to a different vet). The records said she was over 6 months old!!! A big mistake to make where my pets health is concerned. Think twice about a clinic that does not accurately record the birthdate of the animals they treat.
Always gentle with my baby boy and helpfully with keeping costs down
I took my cat here due to some problems he was having, there were multiple visits, but sadly Jack had to be put down. The vets tried many things to try and help him. they were courteous, friendly and kind. they did they were also very good about communication and called me when test results were in, and even gave several options.
