Had an amazing time. The fact that they have a coat check is extremely useful.
Never had a problem with anyone at this bar until last night. It actually was my favorite bar. When we got there the bartender who was working was such a sweetheart. At some point his shift ended, and another guy came in. Right off the bat this guy was rude as hell to us because he was flirting with my friend and my friend was not interested. He kicked us out and was like "you're stumbling all over the place im calling the cops" blah blah blah stuff like that. No one was stumbling,we only had a few beers. Never have been treated this way by a bartender. Not sure if we'll ever go back.
Very fun people, love the dancing lessons and the giant Marilyn Monroe statue. I'm not sure of the bartender Lonnie's orientation but she is too adorable and very nice to everyone!
I have been helping with dance lessons and music with my friend Shirley Hall every 2nd and 4th Tuesday at the Flame Night Club. It has been very well received. We are teaching swing dance lessons and doing some line dancing too. Two hours of fun from 7:15 to 9:15. Thank you Alvin Berg for letting us use your night club. It really is one of the best dance floors.
I would have easily given this place 5 stars without a doubt. But thanks to the hot headed bouncer whom was obviously bored and looking for some action this place gets 1star. The bartender was awesome.. she was responsive and drinks were good. We came in with a bachelor/bachelorette party. Everyone is always pretty good, no craziness in our group. But it seemed like the bouncer targeted us right off the bat... everywhere we went he was on our ass. Which is odd when we were just dancing and socializing. At some point we approached a few of us and told us to leave. We without resisting did so.. but he felt the need to grab us and push us threw the doors.. This guy didn't stop there, but I'm not going to post the rest. I'll take it up with management. This guy needs to be a professional and not a hot head looking to rough people up.
