Jim has also tried to defend his position stating that he was paid late for the storm repair project. In reality he agreed to this job as an insurance job and was paid as soon as the insurance check cleared the bank.
The electrician had removed an exterior plug and not replaced it. When I noticed that this was missing , I wrote to the owner and asked him to please replace this plug, believing it was an over site.

Jim Lenard from LENARD ELECTRIC is a great person to work with. He is straightforward, highly skilled, and has priced jobs reasonably. At SERVPRO of the Twin Ports, we work alongside many contractors. Lenard Electric is a great company to work with if you find yourself in need of a competent master electrician, give Jim at Lenard Electric a call.
Jim is very knowledgeable and easy to work with. Very straight forward and knowledgeable. His staff is professional and efficient. After working together on projects for about 15 years, I'd highly recommend Lenard Electric.
In retrospect he is overpriced and rude. I would not recommend him to anyone.
To date he has not offered or acknowledged that he should replace the outlet that his electrician removed.

There are many competent courteous electricians in Duluth who can do the job. No need to be treated this way by Jim Lenard.

He was in the process of setting up another project for me at the time.

He also stated he picked up the garbage, old electric boxes, wire, conduit nails and packaging, which he did , a month later.
I have asked another electrician to replace the outlet and Jim Lenard to leave me alone. His position indefensible.
Jim Lenard has contacted me several times by text since this review: twice on Sunday asking me to correct the quote as reflected above.
Instead of making this right as he should have, he wrote a very nasty text back to me, did not offer to replace the plug , and cancelled my upcoming project saying " Please do not text me on Sunday. I have a life too."
He does not understand that his behavior was rude and unprofessional and seems intent on trying to defend his disagreeable response.
We have had quality work done at many jobs by lenard electric. I value their excellent communication as well as their fair pricing. We are a licensed contractor in the Twin ports area.
Unbelievable. This is not the Minnesota business code of conduct that I am used to.
His electrician came out as promised. However he left garbage all over my yard that I had to request the owner to pick up. Which he did one month later.
I hired Lenard Electric to complete repairs after the July 31st Storm.
I requested an estimate on adding electric baseboard heaters to the upstairs of a duplex. Without seeing the property or asking square footage, Jim Lenard answered "Approx $5000-$8000 Have a great day" He totally lost my business, now and in the future.
