Views of Lake Superior are beautiful as well.
Elevators: slow and the one in the lobby was small.
Staff: courteous and we're talkative.
Very disappointed in our last stay for our son’s 5th birthday. Housekeeping needs to pay better attention to detail. There was a diary left from the last residents in our room, the headboards were very dusty, the heat/air system was so loud that it was hard to sleep, the filter in the heat system was so dirty that I am surprised the thing even works. The chairs in the room had rips in both and need to be thrown away. The bottom of the lazy river had so much dirt along the edges that I am surprised that the testing they do for the water is passing. For as much as this hotel/water park charges there should have been updates to the water park. The layout and activities have been the same for too long. First impressions and presentation of a hotel are not too priority for this hotel. I recommend that instead of spending so much on advertising, the hotel should put some money into updates and the appearance of their hotel.
Great place for kids! The staff does a wonderful job catering to your needs. The pool is perfect for younger kids, teens and older may find it a bit boring. What impressed me was the on-site concessions. The food was good and surprisingly reasonable in price. One piece of advice for winter travelers, avoid the external rooms in the classic building as you have to go outside in order to get to the pool. It's usually a short walk, but gets cold when coming back from the pool. Can't wait to bring the kids back next summer!
Bed bugs: None found (stayed two nights)
Room: Carpet needs a deep clean (really a replacement), lower tiling in bathroom could be cleaner, and coffee pot could have used a better rinse. Honestly, I've stayed at multiple indoor water parks in Wisconsin Dells and all of them are better than this place. But, Wisconsin Dells main attraction is water parks so of course their going to be some of the best.
Breakfast: not bad at all, too bad it's extra.
My son and I had a blast. There were many lifeguards who kept their eyes closely on the children. The hot tub could be warmer, but the pools and slides were AMAZING!
Water park is great and very kid friendly. Hot tub is not too hot so that is kid friendly as well. Concession area is also awesome, great food and drinks. As far as the hotel is concerned, it is a 2 star hotel so don’t expect a whole lot other than a room to be in when you are not in the water park or navigating around the town. Hotel is very dated and could definitely use a number of upgrades, but then again it’s only a 2 star hotel.
Water Park: not terrible, but the online photos don't do current status justice because if the photos were up to date it would show all the rust and sodium buildups on the little kid area. Both large sides were a lot of fun. Hot tub is a good temp to allow the kids in it. Kids weren't affected and they still enjoyed themselves. Towels were in the water park first aid area.
